Event Information

If you’ve had work published under your name (or a pseudonym), you are probably owed money.
Have you written for magazines? Are you shown as the author? Have you published books?

No catch – if you are not already registered with ALCS, PLR UK and PLR Ireland you are missing out on money that’s due to you.

And if you are registered are you receiving all the money you should?

Two officers from the  Authors' Licensing and Collecting Society (a not-for-profit membership organisation started by writers for the benefit of writers) will explain how and why you should be a member, the benefits and the details of how it works, how payments are calculated and when you’ll get paid. Guild member and Special Officer in charge of Professional Issues, Sarah Beattie, will also be sharing the wealth her experience.

We are delighted to be hosted by London Cheesemongers, recently established in the Pavilion Road ‘food village’ just off Sloane Square.  Founder Jared Wybrow specialises in sourcing seasonal, traditionally produced cheese, from affineurs such as Mons and Neal’s Yard Dairy, as well as direct from the farm, and is compiling a tasting plate of cheeses accompanied by wine from next door’s specialist wine shop, Pavilion Wines.

After savouring the cheese and wine there will be further opportunity for members to network and put any questions of our ALCS speakers as also to Sarah.
