Honour for Fiona Hamilton-Fairley

Guild member Fiona Hamilton-Fairley, CEO and Founder of The Kid's Cookery School, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

The Kids’ Cookery School (KCS) is a registered charity giving children and young people the skills and knowledge needed to make healthy food choices for themselves; KCS empowers children, young people and families so that they can look forward to a healthier future. They teach students how to prepare and cook healthy fresh food from scratch, using fresh ingredients and with an emphasis on reducing fat, sugar and using no salt.

The KCS is currently fundraising for childhood poverty and hunger over the long summer school holidays. The more money they raise, the more children can learn to cook with them both from their HQ and mobile pop-up KCS kitchen.
