Charlotte Pike has launched a new podcast, Pandemic Pantry.
‘I was approached by Julie Waddell (ex-BBC R4) a couple of weeks ago and we have pulled this together very quickly. We'll be talking about all things food and drink related in the current situation.
‘Special guests for our first episodes include several GFW members and we'll be talking to Mitch Tonks, Mark Diacono, Ryan Riley, Freddie Bird, Valentine Warner and Minette Batters to name a few, with some very exciting names scheduled for subsequent episodes we can't announce just yet. We also have industry guests on board to talk about a broad range of subjects from baking your own sourdough, growing your own veg, farming, fishing, fermenting, distilling and farmhouse cheesemaking to nutrition during lockdown. We'll be talking about retail, online and farm gate sales from supermarkets to tiny independents. We have additional Industry Expert interviews scheduled with Jonny Crickmore from Fen Farm Dairy, Tess Lister from Shipton Mill, Myles Hopper from Mindful Chef, author of ‘How to Grow’, Hollie Newton and Megan Charnock from Mini Miss Bread.
