I am a chemistry graduate who became interested in finding new ways to recreate familiar foods to suit specialist diets (allergies, coeliac disease and vegan). For 12 months I had a regular weekly recipe column with the Guardian and have written books. I am also a journalist and magazine editor with many years experience.
