Philip Owens

I am a former chef-restaurateur and am currently the owner and director of Bespoke Menu Design, a London-based catering and restaurant-consultancy company and I specialise in creating innovative, imaginative and original menus for my client base. Previous to this I was chef-patron of London’s The Arts Theatre Café, L’Arte and Philip Owens at the ICA. I have worked closely with leading UK catering and events company, Rhubarb for over 16 years, writing menus and consulting on concept creation for special events and gala dinners, alongside developing menus and trend reports, and conducting brand and product evaluation for its restaurant group and its catering contracts. Another key client is Wallacespace, an industry leading central London meeting and training space provider, for which I write daily-changing lunch menus alongside managing the team of in-house chefs who prepare these menus. I also write a blog as part of the company website and regularly update it with content that includes stories of travel and food experiences, personal recipes and expert opinion on flavour and industry trends.
