I have written on food in the life and work of Jane Austen and Charles Dickens (Dinner with Mr Darcy; Dinner with Dickens); edited Penguin's 'Great Food' series; guest curated an exhibition at the Charles Dickens Museum called Food Glorious Food, and recently published Scoff: A History of Food and Class in Britain.
