I've been writing about food and drink, starting with a blog, now as a freelance writer, for about five years. My main profession is in the drinks industry, where I write about beer, cider and natural wine, mostly from cultural and historical angles. Special subjects

Beer, cider, natural wine, bread rolls in the UK (v. niche, but really!), drinks pairings with food, learning how to become a somm., the science behind flavours and aromas, the hospitality industry, justice, equity, inclusion and access within the food and drink and hospitality industries.
