I have been a professional writer for more than 40 years, covering an extremely wide range of subjects from corporate affairs to interior design. In 2007 though, when my husband first began keeping bees, my attention turned in their direction .... and got stuck there. Bees/honey/pollinators/sustainable farming and other topics related to the food chain have now become my primary areas of interest for writing and speaking. I am one of the UK's very few professional Honey Sommeliers and also the author of 'Planting for Honeybees' published by Quadrille in five languages.
Global honey, honey's many sacred and functional roles in human civilisation, honey tasting, honey fraud, sustainable farming practices, ecology, honeybees and other vital pollinators.
Columnist and feature writer for BeeCraft magazine. Honey sommelier and feature writer for Relais & Chateaux group and Instants Magazine. Semi-regular contributor to Telegraph. Consultant to various real honey producers. Guild of Fine Foods teacher and GTA Judge. Educator for numerous organisations including Lambeth Palace, Petersham Nurseries and Aberfeldy Whisky.
Many awards of our work in raw honey production and sustainability but none directly for my writing
