Guild member Katharine Tate has won a Best in the UK award at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in the Cooking Schools/Education category. As many of you are aware the awards were established 25 years ago and 178 countries are taking part this year. The final to choose the ‘Best in the World’ takes place on Saturday 5 June 2021 at the Paris Cookbook Fair, in the Louvre Tuileries Gardens and Katharine and her team plan to attend. Katharine’s latest book encompasses her experience as a teacher and registered nutritional therapist to help solve a very real problem faced by a number of schools across the UK, who don’t have cookery spaces, access to kitchens or simple lesson ideas that support curriculum delivery.
