Marlene Zammit

I am currently a primary school teacher in London and also have a food blog on Maltese cookery (www.amaltesemouthful.com) which I have had since 2017. I love nothing more than sharing family recipes and stories from my childhood which have been passed on by my family. In addition to sharing my recipes and stories I have also enjoyed honing my skills in food photography and food styling. I spent my childhood on a vegetable farm in Sydney where my dad and mother’s family migrated to from Malta in the 50’s and 70’s. It is there that I learnt about Maltese food through both my parents, mother’s parents and extended family. I also visited Malta and discovered the importance of our food culture through my other grandparents and family who also had small farms in small villages on the island. I moved to London in 2005 and am currently living here with my husband and our two children.
