Jane Milton

Since the age of 10, I wanted to be involved in the food world, 40 years on and I am still excited every day by my work, and still learning too. I write about the food industry and often appear as an expert on television programmes representing the industry. I have authored reports for Reuters and Data Monitor and written numerous articles and been interviewed about the industry for trade titles and news media. In 2001, I wrote a book on Mexican Cookery which is still in print today, though far less cutting edge than it was then. I have worked on many other books for authors and for 2 prominent publishers in the cookery book world.

Special subjects

In 2017 I became the UK's first Tea Association of Canada Certified Tea Sommelier... I studied for 2 years to obtain this qualification which has given me a good knowledge of the tea industry, market, production, tea and food pairing and more. I have worked with food manufacturers and retailers for 30 years so consider myself expert in food production, manufacturing and in relationships with retailers.

Regular work

Much of my work is project based and I hold some non-executive Director posts in food production and marketing. My website and my LinkedIn profile will give you a current update.
