Joan Ransley

Joan Ransley is a highly qualified nutritionist, photographer, food stylist, writer and teacher with a Masters degree and PhD in Human Nutrition. Joan's first degree was in Home Economics where she developed her love of both preparing food and nutrition. Joan began writing about food for the Yorkshire Post while working as a lecturer at Leeds University and then went on to learn how to take compelling photographs of food and environmental portraits of people working in the food industry. She has won several awards for her photography in the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year and the International Garden Photographer of the Year competitions. Joan runs highly acclaimed food photography workshops around the UK. Joan's clients include Delicious. magazine, Pavilion Books, Yakult UK (she is an Ambassador for Gut Health Week), John Julian Design, The Guardian, Aspire Photography Training and Ceres PR. Joan is author of Cooking for the Sensitive Gut published by Pavilion Books 2016.
