Anna Hedworth

I am a cook, food writer and proprietor of Cook House, an award winning restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne. I left my job in architecture to open my first restaurant in 2014 and have just opened my second larger premesis last year. My recipe blog, where I began my food life, The Grazer has been shortlisted for various awards while the restaurant has won accolades from The Good Food Guide, The Observer, The Times, Guardian and many more. Most recently being named Restaurant of the Year 2019 by the Financial Times. My first book, Recipes and Stories from Cook House was published in September 2019 by Head of Zeus. It charts my journey from one career to another and everything along the way; 'How to leave your job and open a restaurant, even if you're not sure how'. It was named as one of the Top 10 Food Books of 2019 by the Sunday Times, Top Food Books of 2019 in The Week and Best Food Books of Autumn 2019 in The Telegraph.
