Andy Clarke

My background is in TV. I helped to create the 'SaturdayKitchen Live' format for BBC1 in 2006 when James Martin took over. I produced this for a number of years (co-ordinating chefs / wine experts / writing scripts etc) before moving on the other well known productions such as 'Gordon Gino & Fred: Road Trip' for ITV, 'Rachel Khoo's Chocolate' for Food Network / Discovery+ and most recently 'The Great Cookbook Challenge with Jamie Oliver' for Channel 4. All of my TV producer / director work involves me writing scripts and voice over for presenters to talk about food. It was whilst at ;Saturday Kitchen Live' that I realised that I wanted to write about food and drink. I started a blog in 2015 and started writing for magazines in 2016. I have written for Crumbs Magazine, The Guardian Online and BBQ Mag amongst other publications. I also appear regularly TV, on 'Love your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh' recommending food and drink (including food and drink matches) and occasionally on 'This Morning' making cocktails (both on ITV). I have just written my first book 'Home Bar' for Welbeck Publishing which includes cocktail and snack recipes. It will be published in late May.
