Author and cook. Born and raised in the West Midlands, child and grandchild to food obsessed Punjabi immigrants; a career in food was inevitable. After turning my back on the corporate world, I honed my cooking skills at Ashburton Chef’s Academy in Devon, prior to a career change. My debut cookbook ‘Desi Kitchen’ is due for publication in March 2023, under the Penguin imprint, Michael Joseph. This book seeks to share the food story of the diaspora from the Indian sub-continent in Britain today – it’s past, present and future. During the Covid lockdown I established a thriving desi food collection business, and now host regular supper clubs and pop-up restaurants where I live, in Cheshire. I have a passion for making authentic Indian home cooking accessible to all.
