Cafe Spice Namaste
‘You may be wondering when we’re re-opening Cafe Spice Namaste, our beloved family restaurant that’s been very much part of the London food scene since 1995,’ writes Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL. ‘In fact, if everything goes to plan, in a few weeks’ time we’ll be able to welcome you all to our new home in Royal Albert Wharf, Docklands. Yes, we’ve moved further East (from E1 to E16) and from our windows you can spy the majestic Canary Wharf skyline and glimpse the tail end of City Airport. We’re right on the banks of the Thames and we just love the fresh air and peaceful atmosphere.
‘Our new premises have been designed with the help of Tonik Design Associates. We’re also making sure we can reuse and upcycle as much of what we had in our old site on Prescot Street. So what can you expect?
‘Apart from seating for around 55 people, there’s a stylish wet bar, an area for private dining as well as our Mr Todiwala’s Academy, where Cyrus and his friends will be carrying out Masterclasses both live and on Zoom. We’re curating the menu as we write this and hope to trail some of our great dishes (yes, a bit of a teaser!) in the run-up to the opening. For those who have missed our Parsee-inspired Khaadraas Supper Club events, we’ll be relaunching these too.
‘New site, new beginnings…watch this space!’
