Guild members Lyndon Gee, Janette Marshall, and Elisabeth Luard spent a fabulous afternoon at Claridge’s with the Royal British Legion. ‘With endless Champagne, finger sandwiches and delightful cakes, we met amazing service men and women as well as veterans, along with the generous event sponsors,’ Lyndon writes.

‘We were at the launch of Cooking with Heroes, a wonderful coffee table book full of recipes from around the Commonwealth. Written by both serving and retired members of the armed forces, and edited by RAF Squadron Leader Jon Pullen, Guild members Rick Stein, Cyrus Todiwala, and Dave Myers also contributed recipes. The book is interspersed with inspiring stories of heroism and bravery marking the 100th anniversary of the Legion. All proceeds of the book go to support the charity’s work with service personnel and their families.

‘Any publicity Guild members can give the book will be greatly appreciated. The Publishers, St James’s House, are happy to organise book extracts, images and interviews, and reader prizes. If you are able to feature Cooking with Heroes in your publication, blog, or show please contact me lyndon@lyndongee.com and I’ll put you in touch with the appropriate person. “Lest we Forget”‘
