Mushroom Madness
‘After discovering a cluster of field mushrooms in a field near me, I experimented making a mushroom spore print on paper. The result was magical. The first layer of this drawing is a photo of that print which I sent to the drawing app I use on the iPad. I then began drawing over the photo, first by using a tool that enabled specific areas of my wobbly lines to straighten up, then by smudging and splashing paint on top to create an abstract illusion of the original mushroom.’
