Spicing Sparklers
‘I was thinking about Diwali, so the plan here was to celebrate the vibrancy of Indian spices. Then something happened half way through the drawing, which to me, wasn’t looking exciting enough. To loosen things up, I let the spices explode from their jars. The drawing then began to take on a life of its own, becoming a line-up of effervescent spicy sparklers and fireworks.’
