Warming Bowlfuls
‘To create a still life composition to draw from I set up two empty bowls on my kitchen counter. I then had to think what to fill them with in the drawing that would denote something comforting for autumn. What better than pumpkin soup? Swirls of cream, a sprinkling of toasted pumpkin seeds and black pepper finally brought the drawing to life.’
