David was born in Maidstone, Kent and educated in both the UK and USA, where he earned a Degree in English Literature & Journalism and a Masters in Modern & Contemporary Writing.
He has since led a nomadic life, living in Kansas City, Bangkok, Tuscany and London.
While in Bangkok he was the restaurant critic for Bangkok 101 magazine and edited the city’s BAM! Art Map; and in Tuscany, he lived in Luca working as a features writer for the Italian food magazine Cook Inc.
His writing has been featured in a wide range of international newspapers and magazines, such as Conde Nast Traveler, Tatler, The Independent, Metro, Jamie Oliver magazine, Suitcase, Port, Foodism, Escapism, Civilian Global, Fine Dining Lovers and he has been interviewed on his work for various BBC Radio Arts Programmes, including The Robert Elms Show and Radio 4’s flagship current affairs programme, Today.
He writes, edits and is a CELTA-qualified teacher of English to foreign adults via the Cambridge University English Language Assessment, and spends much of his year travelling.
