Emily Gussin

I am a chef, food writer, editor and stylist based in Hackney, London. After graduating with an English degree and an MA in Modern Literature, I started my career in the world of cake, working in the editorial teams of cake decorating magazine titles. I then trained as a chef, completing a Cordon Bleu diploma at Tante Marie Culinary Academy in June 2018. After a brief period freelancing, I was Deputy Food Editor role of Waitrose & Partners Food magazine for 4 years, before moving to my current role at delicious. magazine. I work on all the cookery content of the monthly magazine, our website and social channels - developing recipes, commissioning contributors and styling the food. I also head up our Be a Sustainable Cook section, endeavouring to help our readers cut down on waste and understand the big topics of being more environmentally minded in the kitchen.
Alongside my work, I co-run a seasonal, sustainable supper club called 10 Miles Club. All the ingredients are sourced within 10 miles of the venue to showcase local producers.
