I bake bread. All sorts of bread both sourdough and yeasted.
I began my bread-making career rather unusually with a book. I was asked to contribute recipes to a book on Victorian and Edwardian bread boards, entitled ‘Vintage Breadboards’ (Prospect Books, 2019). My recipes included a a range of breads including a traditional cottage loaf, Cornish saffron bread and a cubed fondue bread which I had seen on my travels in the mountains near Zurich.
I also teach people how to make bread, normally in small customised classes. I have developed numerous recipes and step-by-step guides eg a spelt sourdough commissioned by Roger Saul for Sharpham Park with accompanying ‘how to’ films:

And excitingly, I have just been engaged to contribute articles and recipes to the German bread magazine, 'Brot'.
