I am the founder of The Full Freezer (2019) and author of The Full Freezer Method (published March 2024 by Ebury Press).
I help households reduce food waste and cook from scratch more easily by using their home freezers more effectively. Instead of teaching people to batch cook, I teach them how to 'press pause' on individual foods, featuring over 700 in my book. I also help them to stay organised, and educate them as to how they can use these foods later.
My passion for using the freezer began after I had blood clots in my shoulder in 2006, and my mum filled a small freezer with batch-cooked meals. This became my security blanket through a six-year health rollercoaster, working full time, a c-section and weaning our first child.
The Full Freezer Method concept was born in 2019 after struggling to batch cook with two small children around my feet. After months of getting frustrated with how much food and money we were wasting, I had a lightbulb moment; realising if I could freeze a meal that I had cooked, I could surely freeze the individual ingredients if they were at risk of going in the bin.
I have grown a community of over 100k across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and have collaborated with organisations such as Love Food, Hate Waste, The Food Standards Agency and The British Frozen Food Federation. I have also provided tips and advice via the mainstream press (The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Sun and more), on BBC radio and Live on Lorraine, BBC Morning Live and Steph's Packed Lunch.
I'm originally from Staffordshire, but now live in Greater London with my husband and my son (5) and daughter (8).
