Cheryl Cohen

I spent over 22 years running farmers markets in London, visiting farms, finding locations, keeping the markets running, writing copy and stories for the website and social media.
Over the years I've written monthly columns for food magazines, made a television documentary about whelks, a history of corned beef for The Food Programme and a series of radio features about the history of confectionery for BBC Radio 4.

I've been writing on Substack for almost 6 months, focusing on markets, interviews with food writers at their favourite markets, seasonal and sustainable food and more personal food stories.

Advisory boards / Awards

I was on the first board of London Food, helped set up and organise events for Slow Food London, and was previously on the board of the Farm Retail Association. I judge for Great Taste awards.
