Though I was born and bred in London’s leafy suburbs, my fathers origins were Spanish/Portuguese and we were lucky enough to grow up surrounded with friends of many cultures, and particularly Persian and Iraqi food. Fast forward a few years, I married into an enormous Iraqi/Indian family and was lucky enough to have an army of aunts and in laws to teach and share their secrets with me. As passionate as I am about food, it is the back stories of tradition and family that truly bring them to life. Since my daughter started nursery, I have embarked on a career change to no only recipe develop but to explore the history of some of these inredible dishes. I have been writing for local press and some international websites for the last year and half and in addition to writing, I also make reels, photograph and style all my own recipes
