Chloë King

As a graduate of the Royal College of Art, I specialise in creating exceptional photography and illustration to accompany my writing. My portfolio career involves working with text and image in many capacities. I write news, columns and features for local press and national titles including Metro, Vegan Living and Great British Chefs. I edit and art direct magazines and email newsletters and have taught blogging, critical and creative writing at FE and HE level. I enjoy promoting food projects and businesses through my work in event and festival management, marketing communications and website design. In 2016 I launched the food lovers’ book club Cook the Books and in 2018 I was awarded the Guild of Food Writers Fellowship Fund research grant for my research into Portuguese alheira.

Special subjects

Having relocated from East Sussex to Galway in 2019 I am well placed to report on the dynamic food culture across the island of Ireland.
