I set up and run Ruth's Little Kitchen and currently I work as a Food Editor for Yours magazine part of the Bauer Media group developing and writing assessible recipes for the home cook and occasionally providing all photography and food styling. As an Approved Activity Provider for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme I have developed an online cookery school aimed at increasing skill and confidence in the home kitchen and bringing the conversation of food to the heart of the home. I am an occasional tutor at Bread Ahead and also run small cookery workshops from my home kitchen. I have worked with brands developing recipes and carrying out food styling when needed, I am a trained Food and Nutrition teacher and have headed up an exam board project to video key culinary skills needed for the new Food and Nutrition GCSE. I have judged at the World Bread Awards and Guild of Fine Foods.

I also have paid work on the digital side of the magazine presenting Lives on Instagram. I run an online cookery school providing Dofe cookery courses and Cooking for University. I teach cookery.
