Born and raised in the Yorkshire Dales, Christine grew up to appreciate British food at it’s best, and her enthusiastic, down-to-earth approach has made her one of Britain’s most versatile cookery experts. After qualifying as a Home Economist in London, Christine worked as a writer, food stylist and editor on several national women’s magazines including Woman’s Realm, Good Housekeeping and BBC Good Food. She has written over 30 cookery books. Recent work includes radio, food judging, restaurant reviewing and teaching. Christine is now semi-retired and lives in rural Somerset with her husband, artist and photographer Don Last.
