Online Forum: Cookery Teaching – Navigating Covid-19

Tuesday 27 October 2020, 6pm

Zoom

Time: 6pm
Price: Free to Guild members

Event Information

Many GFW members teach as well as write, and the world of cookery classes has been badly affected by the current circumstances.

In order to help us all adapt and find opportunities to do business where we can, we are running this special discussion to help share knowledge, experiences and suggestions.

This Zoom discussion will feature a larger than usual panel of Guild members, talking about their varied experiences. They include Fiona Burrell (founder and principal of the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School), Monisha Bharadwaj, Paul Bellchambers, Vivien Lloyd, Sumayya Usmani, Lindy Wildsmith and Guild chair Charlotte Pike. Additional speakers will be announced in due course.

Following an introduction to each speaker's usual way of teaching and recent experiences, we will open up to questions, to allow us to discuss ideas and experiences in greater depth than usual.

This session will be recorded for the GFW YouTube channel and we welcome questions in advance, from those who may not be able to attend, so we can discuss them.

This session has been organised at short notice in response to the current circumstances, and so the final panel will be shared on the Facebook forum and in a reminder email sent closer to the event.

This session will take place through Zoom. Please email Guild administrator Jonathan Woods jonathan@gfw.co.uk to register for any or all of these events and Jonathan will then send you details of how to access the events on Zoom.
