Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards 2021

The winners have been announced for the Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards, and Guild members are well represented in several categories:

For the Debut Food Book award Mark Riddaway’s book Borough Market: Edible Histories (Hodder & Stoughton) was shortlisted.

Ravinder Bhogal was shortlisted in the Cookery Book category for Jikoni (Bloomsbury).

New Guild member Durkhanai Ayubi was shortlisted in the Debut Cookery Book category for Parwana: Recipes and stories from an Afghan kitchen (Murdoch Books).

In the Debut Drink Book category the shortlist included another new Guild member Cas Oh for CO-Specs: Recipes & Histories of Classic Cocktails (Cazerac Ltd).
And the winner was Cas Oh

Fiona Beckett’s book How to Drink Without Drinking: Celebratory alcohol-free drinks for any time of the day (Kyle Books) was shortlisted in the Drink Book category.

Olivia Potts was shortlisted in the Food Writer category for her work in Longreads.com and The Spectator.

The Cookery Writer shortlist featured Georgina Hayden for work in Waitrose Food Magazine.
And the winner was Georgina Hayden.

For the Drinks Writers award Fiona Beckett was shortlisted for work in The Guardian Feast.

Two Guild members were on the Programme shortlist: Nigella’s Cook, Eat, Repeat (BBC Studios Factual Entertainment Productions) and Saving Britain’s Pubs with Tom Kerridge (Bone Soup Productions)
And the winner was Saving Britain’s Pubs with Tom Kerridge

The winners were announced on Thursday 9 September at a party in the courtyard of London’s iconic Royal Exchange.
