I’m the founder and co owner of Bad Girl Bakery, a bakery, cafe, cookschool, consultancy and development kitchen in the Highlands of Scotland. Ive always been a keen home baker, but came to baking as a career later in life. My first career was in arts and media marketing and communications (including BBC Scotland, Scottish Opera, and various visual arts and theatre companies). I’m a self taught baker who started Bad Girl Bakery as a small at home bakery after deciding to leave my arts marketing career . It’s grown into a successful, award-winning business with a bakery, cafe, development kitchen, cook school and consultancy. My first cookbook was published in 2021 and this lead to my recipes being featured in national press (including becoming a regular contributor for The Times as part of the book PR) This sparked an interest in food writing and food related content creation as a career development.
