I am Trinidadian born, have lived there for a portion of my life and am now London based. I regularly travel back to visit family and much of my food is influenced by this part of my life. I have written two cook books, Caribbean Modern: Recipes from the Rum Islands, and most recently, The Ice Kitchen, about making the most of your freezer to help preserve food, make life easy and avoid waste. I am the food presenter on ITVs Weekend Best programme and am often a guest chef on Saturday Kitchen. I write regularly for publications, most frequently, BBCGoodFood magazine.
