I write about European food - from the most rustic Greek peasant dishes to modern classics - and produce original recipes. I also write about travel, with an accent on gastronomy, and have produced books on organic and sustainable food; restaurants and clubs; and advise on good copy - especially on well written menus!

Special subjects

Mediterranean and especially Greek food lore; English country cooking - from the past and original recipes, inspired by seasonal ingredients, today.

Languages spoken

Greek and French - menus and expletives!

Regular work

Consultant to private clubs. Occasional broadcasting and seasonal cookery demonstrations.
