Angela Malik’s focus is the future of food. A government adviser, food tech mentor and industry consultant, she’s here to shake things up. Obesity, older people’s diets, filling the skills gap – her goal is to find innovative solutions to the challenges we face as a society. After qualifying as chartered accountant with KPMG Angela trained classical chef at the world-famous Leith’s School of Food and Wine and has recently completed an MBA from the prestigious Imperial College Business School in London. As an entrepreneur she built a deli business and multi-site Asian cookery school and is now a sought-out industry consultant and strategy director at Think Hospitality working globally with various SME & blue-chip hospitality, retail and leisure companies. Angela is an international key note speaker, a regular panellist on BBC Radio4’s The Kitchen Cabinet and is frequently invited by ITV and Channel 4 to share her insights into the food industry. She is also the first Indian woman to appear on BBC2's Great British Menu.
